Good friend of Parsi Khabar and a fantastic artivist, Kayhan Irani will read from her upcoming works, in London.

TREE OF SEEDS

A narrative of migration and memory.

A young woman and her brother sail from Iran to India, via Yemen. Found on the docks of Aden, they are taken in by a local Parsi family on the eve of an anti-British uprising. As hostilities rise, public and personal boundaries are drawn; and embroidery traditions tell the tale of two communities bound by religion yet separated by culture, and the history of a people in transition.
