In Febrarury 2014 we had informed you about the allocation of land at the Worli crematorium to build a prayer hall to be used for Parsi and Irani Zarathushtis who opt for cremation upon death.

The prayer hall was built and below are the photographs of the opening day jashan ceremony, sent to us by Dinshaw K. Tamboly.

The crematorium is located on Dr. E Moses Road in Worli, Mumbai.

This is wonderful news. Congratulations to all who made this possible. But the state of the crematorium is in a shambles. It would be so nice if that could be given at least minor repairs – e.g. replastering walls, painting. Let us Parsis show our large heart and contribute to its repairs.
