Over 100 people filed up the 3rd floor of the Ripon Club on Wednesday December 16, 2015 for a book reading event organised by the Jame Jamshed newspaper.

An Uncensored Life: Zerbanoo Gifford authored by Farida Master was recently released at the Times Lit Fest and at the Ripon Club, both Zerbanoo and Farida enthralled the crowd with selected readings and a very fiesty and frank question and answer session.

Dorab Mistry, OBE introduced Zerbanoo, after Shernaz Engineer, Jame’s editor welcomed the audience. Dorab spoke of Zerbanoo’s take no prisoners spirit in everything she involves herself in.

Biographer Farida Master read select passages from the book that referred to different times in the life of Zerbanoo.

Zerbanoo then took the stage and spoke about her work and philosophy. She emphasized the Zarathushti DNA within her that helps shape her thinking and action. She spoke passionately about the Asha Center that she founded in the UK, and hopes to set one up in Pune, India some day soon.

The audience went away with a distinct feeling that they had been in the presence of, and heard an amazing woman and a proud Zarathushti who lives by the ideals of the religion in daily life.

The evening ended with high tea served by the Ripon Club.
