Prominent industrialist and a leader of Parsi community on Tuesday announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after a meeting with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz welcomed Aspandiar Bhandara’s decision to join the PML-N. He acknowledged the services of the Bhandara family to national economy, politics and literature.

While the investors were leaving the country due to unfavourable conditions for investment in Pakistan, Bhandara’s decision was reflective of his faith in the PML-N and confidence in the bright future of the country, he said.

Bhandara said that the PML-N, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, was striving for the reconstruction of Pakistan and transforming it in accordance with the ideals of the Quaid-e-Azam so that people from across the country should have equal rights.

He said Nawaz’s performance during both of his tenures was a proof of the fact that only the PML-N could steer the country out of the existing political situation, especially grave economic crises.

Aspandiar Bhandara’s father M P Bhandara was elected as the National Assembly member twice and was also a federal minister.
