Ervad Soli P. Dastur, of Sarasota, Florida, USA, was invited by Mumbai Archbishop His Eminence Ostwald Cardinal Gracias to represent the Zoroastrian Religion at a Multi-Faith Talk Show on 23rd December 2012 at the Archbishop House in Colaba, Mumbai.

Ervad Dastur writes…

“During my research on his background I found that when he was appointed Cardinal by Pope Paul, he chose his Code Of Arms with four symbols: Washing feet as a symbol of service to fellow men, M for devotion to Mary, Scales for Religious Law since he got his Doctorate in Catholic Law from Rome and the last, a hand shake as a symbol of working with fellow men!

I was impressed by his symbols, especially the last one, and reminded me of our age old traditional Hamaa Zor Greeting. I requested Fr. Michael, Archbishop’s right hand man, and Fr. Pinto, the Talk Show moderator that I would like to greet the Archbishop with this Hamaa Zor Greeting as well as to wish him Happy Birthday coming up next day! They were gracious enough to let me perform this greeting with His Eminence and this is the video showing this greeting.”

The video was shot by Jo Ann Dastur, Soli’s wife.
