Muncherji Cama has been elected in the Bombay Parsi Punchayat bypolls to fill the seat left vacant on the resignation of one trustee. This result has been reported in various forums.
At the end of the six-week voting exercise, Vispi Wadia writes on Facebook:
It was a long & gruelling campaign spread over six weeks. The counting of the ballots is scheduled for 4th July (Monday) from 10 am at Khareghat Colony. The final result would be out by Monday evening itself; however the trends would be evident within couple of hours of start of the counting process. Would certainly keep you all posted.
The Vote count at five venues spread over three weekends is as follows:
1. Khareghat Colony – 1905
2. Cusrow Baug – 1587
3. Rustom Baug – 1934
4. Dadar Parsi Colony – 1989
5. Bharucha Baug – 1549
TOTAL VOTES – 8964
