Parsi Youth Meet To Bond Community

Over 220 Zoroastrian youths from across the country are participating in the three-day all India youth meet that began in the city on Thursday. Twenty participants have also come from Iran to take part in the event that is being held at Erin Nagarwala School in Kalyaninagar.

Director of the National Education Society (NES) NK Mahajan and Nayana Shroff, a Mumbai-based entrepreneur in the wine industry, inaugurated the meet.

The Federation of Zoroastrian Youth Association (FOZYA) in association with the Zoroastrian Youth Association (ZYA) of Pune is organising the event.

This is the second time that the youth meet is being held in Pune. "We will be organising team building games for the first two days for the youths. A seminar on entrepreneurship will also be organised. It will be addressed by board member of the Tata Group Adi Engineer. A seminar on community related topics will also be held. Renowned scholar Khojesteh Mistree will be the resource person," said former president of the ZYA, Pune, Zenia Vajifdar. He has been a part of the ZYA for the past eight years. "On Friday evening, there will be an entertainment programme, including a live band performance by the Jet Set band at the Poonawalla Stud Farm," said Vajifdar, chapter coordinator of the National HRD Network.
