Gulserene Dastur made her documentary film making debut at 64. Her film titled “Getting Better” is being screened at the New Hope Film Festival on 26th July.
This is a small Film Festival in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and the screening is on July 26th, a Tuesday evening at 6.30, shown under the heading ‘Poverty and Medicine’, grouped with another documentary on an inspiring nurse in Mexico, called ‘Today is the Day’.
Gulserene writes..
“This category sounds a bit gloomy, but I can assure you that my film, at least, is not one of those grim films that run down India, it is a critical but loving look at what it takes to keep India running.”
