Road to be named after Rustom Tirandaz

Rustom Tirandaz who passed away recently will be honoured by the naming of a road in his honour.

In the Dadar Parsi Colony, Mumbai; the road opposite Rustomframna Agiary, popularly known as Volleyball Gardens, is to be named after the respected leader Rustom Tirandaz. This will be at a special event on Sunday May 2, 2010 at 4-30 PM.

Rustom Tirandaz was involved with both local and community politics for many years. He served as municipal corporator for multiple terms and as a trustee of the Bombay Parsi Punchayat too.

    I knew Rustom a selfless dedicated worker on my trips to Mumbai. I think it is a proud moment for his family and to all Zoroastrians who have forgotten the Spirit of “Parsis thy name is charity”
