In a bold and beautiful effort to bring Zoroastrian culture to the global fashion scene, Xenia Byramji, a designer with deep roots in the community, has launched a fashion brand that merges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Simply titled Xenia, the brand is built on a mission of cultural storytelling, sustainable development, and creative empowerment.
At the heart of Xenia’s work is Gara embroidery, a centuries-old craft beloved in Parsi culture. Known for its intricate motifs and delicate detailing, Gara is often seen in traditional saris and heirloom pieces. Xenia’s vision reimagines this artistry within modern Western silhouettes, bridging heritage and innovation in a wearable, accessible form.
But Xenia is more than just a fashion label — it’s a social impact initiative. The brand is committed to creating sustainable employment for women in Pakistan, where the embroidery is handcrafted. Each piece is a collaboration between cultures, generations, and geographies, designed not only to honor tradition but also to provide real economic opportunities.
In order to grow this mission-driven venture, Xenia has launched a fundraiser to support the next phase of the brand’s development. Funds raised will go toward logistics, product development, marketing, and expanding the brand’s reach. Supporters are invited to contribute, share, or simply learn more about the brand’s inspiring journey.
“I’ve poured so much love and intention into this,” says Xenia. “I truly believe it has the power to make a difference — for Zoroastrian visibility, for women artisans, and for how we see fashion as a medium of cultural expression.”
