She will soon be seen in Mudh Mudh Ke Na Dekkh Mudh Mudh Ke with Himesh Reshammaiya but despite picking up offers from Bollywood, Jennifer Kotwal says she will never turn her back on Kannada and says she still prefers to work there. “No way will I leave,” she says, “Kannada is still my first love. I can never close my doors on this industry. I prefer to work in Kannada movies as they are far more professional. Hindi movies take a lot of time to shoot and I hardly get to work on any other project.”

Jennifer, who is a Parsi with a degree in Economics, made a big impact in her debut movie Jogi and she still raves about the good time she had making it. “I had a nice experience whilst working in the film,” she explains, “Even after three years, it’s still fresh in my mind. Director Prem is simply outstanding – in fact everything about the movie was amazing – a girl couldn’t have wished for a better debut.”

One thing that has surprised Jennifer since becoming a star is the lack of respect for the truth she’s experienced. “I did rather be known than not known,” she says, “But the bad thing is all kind of rubbish finds its way to the Internet. Soon, however, I will have my own website so that my fans can have access to authentic information on me.”

Jennifer is very computer literate and also has her own blog and is a member of the networking site Facebook. “I give my email ID to my fans and encourage them to write to me,” she says, “I want to tell people that I’m a simple person and not a ‘star’.”
