Vispy Kapadia Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award

Noted karate coach Vispy Kapadia was recently awarded Lifetime Achievement award by Union home minister P Chidambaram for his service to various wings of the police force, including the special task force and the anti-terrorist squad, for the last 28 years.

Vispy was felicitated during the first All India Police and Para Military Forces Championship held at New Delhi in the presence of Indian Olympic Association president Suresh Kalmadi, apart from the home minister, last week.

He is also the coach of national team.

“It feels good when someone recognises the efforts put in,” said Vispy. “I have been providing the police force in different states for 28 years and it has become a part of my life now.”
