Congratulations to our dear friend, Nilufer Shroff, on her Outstanding Professional Contributions Award!

Parsi Khabar is delighted to share that our dear friend Nilufer K. Shroff has been recognized by the Association of College and University Auditors (ACUA) with the Outstanding Professional Contributions Award — a prestigious honor celebrating exceptional leadership and service in the field of internal auditing within higher education.

Nilufer received this award at ACUA’s annual conference, AuditCon, held this year in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 16, 2025. The award ceremony took place before an audience of nearly 475 attendees representing colleges and universities from across the United States and Canada. In her words, “It was a wonderful moment in my professional career and I thank you for sharing this proud moment with me.”

Two photographs captured the occasion — one showing Nilufer with her award, standing alongside the President of ACUA and the Chair of the ACUA Awards Committee, and another of her delivering a short acceptance speech, as requested by the organizers. Nilufer’s husband Khushroo and son Rohan were both in the audience, cheering her on and capturing the moment.

This recognition marks the culmination of Nilufer’s remarkable career at Princeton University, where she most recently served as Vice President and Chief Audit and Compliance Officer. Over her years of service, Nilufer built and led teams with integrity, vision, and a deep commitment to institutional excellence — leaving an enduring mark on Princeton’s culture of accountability and transparency.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Nilufer has been a steadfast and inspiring presence within the Zoroastrian community. As a long-time member and past officer of ZAPANJ (Zoroastrian Association of Pennsylvania and New Jersey), she has played a central role in nurturing community life, organizing events, and mentoring the next generation of Parsis and Iranis in North America.

At the national level, Nilufer has also served as Treasurer of FEZANA (Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America), where her financial stewardship and steady leadership helped strengthen FEZANA’s fiscal foundation and expand its programs. Her quiet competence, collaborative spirit, and unwavering integrity embody the very best of Zoroastrian values — humata, hukhta, huvarshta (good thoughts, good words, good deeds).

Those who know Nilufer personally will attest not only to her professional excellence but to her kindness, warmth, and humility. Whether in a board meeting, a religious class, or a community gathering, she brings wisdom, grace, and generosity of spirit to everything she does.

The ACUA Outstanding Professional Contributions Award is a fitting tribute to a career — and a life — dedicated to service, leadership, and integrity.

From all of us at Parsi Khabar, congratulations, Nilufer! We are so proud of you and so grateful for all that you do for our community and beyond.
