Tuition class teacher held for sexually abusing students in Mumbai

Eight students of the class eight and nine have approached the Shivaji Park police station against their coaching class owner, Feroze Katrak, 49, who had reportedly sexually abused them.

The police had arrested Katrak on Sunday evening for allegedly having unnatural sex with his students after class in his cabin. Katrak runs the ‘Feroze Coaching Classes’, situated in the Parsi Colony, Dadar (West).

According to the police, the parents of student, approached them on Sunday and alleged in their complaint that Katrak had been forcibly sodomising their son for the last five months. Following the complaint, police arrested Katrak after interrogation.

“As of now total eight students have approached us against Katrak. The victim, in his statement said that Katrak took them into his cabin after class and sodomised them and had oral sex with them,” said police sub inspector, Shashikant Yadav of theShivaji Park police station.

When police arrived at the coaching classes to arrest Katrak, the local residents came to know about the incident. After that the parents and the local residents protested out side the coaching classes and tried to deface it.

Katrak lives in the Parsi colony in Dadar (West) with his wife and 14-year-old daughter.

“Katrak has been arrested under section 377 of the Indian penal code (IPC) and was produced in the court on Monday. He will be in police custody till December 30,” said Yadav.

“Investigation is going on and we are trying to find out if the accused had sexually abused any other students,” said police.
