Seth Viccaji and Seth Pestonji Meherji were pivotal figures in fostering Parsi religious and cultural activities in the region.

The Meherji brothers built cart routes and bridges for the quick and safe transportation of goods and are regarded as pioneers of the cotton trade between the Nizam’s Dominion and the British-run Bombay Presidency.
