Blog News

Over the weekend, Parsi Khabar crossed a small milestone. We had our 1000th post up on the website.

The website began as a labour of love way back in August 2005 and still remains one.

On August 19, 2005 I posted a Welcome note followed by a Saal Mubarak the next day on the occassion of Parsi New Year.

Since then we have brought to you, our readers over 1000 posts covering matters, opinions and news about Parsis: The Zoroastrians of India.

Shirrin, Mehernaaz, co-authors on this blog besides myself; all lead busy professional and personal lives and we run Parsi Khabar as a service to the community.

Our readership has increased year after year and we hope that it will continue to do so in the future.

In today’s connected digital world with an information overload quotient, we make sure that we read through all the news (and then some !) and bring you an edited version of what is the most appropriate and contextual. Never will you read anything on Parsi Khabar that has not been personally edited and published by one of us.

We, Parsis are a fast dwindling microcosm of society. Unique in culture, social customs, outlook and spirit, we are at the cross roads at this moment in time. The need for change and the resistance to it are the biggest issues we face today. How this pans out in the years to come will be interesting and you can be sure that Parsi Khabar will be there to bring it to you without fail.

Without you, our readers, this entire effort would be futile and have no meaning. And hence, this is a heartfelt thank you to all of you for reading the news, posting the comments and forwarding article links to friends and family.

if you like what you read here, do join in the comments section. And do pass on our link to friends and family so they can subscribe too.

So, we take a moment to stop and look back and raise a “Parsi Peg” toast to this blog and we look forward to the next thousand…and more.
