Our dear friend Hoshaang Gotla writes in to inform us of an excellent initiative he is putting together with the Xtremely Young Zoroastrians, a program he founded.
On the occasion of XYZ’s Foundation Day (Ava Roj Deh Mahino, ie. Monday, 23 May 2016) we would like the Xtremely Young Zoroastrians to dedicate the month of May and June to social service.
We introduce a new concept called the XYZ Blessing Bag.
A blessing bag is a bag each XYZ child needs to make with the help of a parent. This bag can also be made by friends and family.
The bag will contain items which we can donate to any person in need we find on the road. Bags can be donated to servants, maalis, cleaners, peons or anyone who may be in need.
Items in the bag can be decided by the child and parents. Items generally can include toothbrush, Toothpaste, soap, napkin, slippers, Rs. 100 note, old t shirts, wafer packet, raincoats, biscuit, small umbrella etc….
You don’t need to stick to the above items and can be innovative in your own bag. However keep in mind a poor and needy person is at the receiving end.
Once you make the bag, do click a picture and share it with us as well. Keep the bag with you in your car and give it away whenever u find someone needy on the road.
When you wish to make the bag or give the bag away is completely your choice but preferably in the month of May-June. This is not a mandatory activity however we would like to try and Make a Difference.
