Back then

Born in a Parsi family, Jennifer never thought she would be a model or an actress.

She says, “I never thought or wanted to be an actor as back in school I was just a normal chubby kid with braces. But I don’t know what changed when I came to 10th grade, the braces went off and I guess I transformed into a swan.” She adds, “But I’ve always been fond of posing for the cameras, the moment the camera comes out I pose. It’s almost like a natural instinct.”

Jennifer, the person…

Although she comes across as an extrovert, Jennifer has a timid side. “Put me in a crowd and I’m comfortable. But put me in a room with four strangers I would just be very quiet and wouldn’t know what to say. This is a problem, as people always mistake my shyness for an attitude problem,” says Jennifer.

Just like anyone else, she loves to hang out with friends, watch movies. She also loves to travel and her favourite destination is New York City. Asked what inspires her, she says, “People like Opera Winfrey inspire me by the way they live their lives.”

Favourite artists

Though in tune with the new age, Jennifer’s choice of favourite artists remains classical. “Sridevi and Rajinikanth are two actors I’ve always loved. When I was young, Sridevi’s movies never failed to impress me, and none of the present day actors have that effect on me.” she says.

Plans for the future

“Going with the flow” says Jennifer confidently. She adds, “I’ve always gone with the flow, and that has worked quite well for me. Till date, I have never gone asking for a role, every role I’ve ever played was offered to me. So I will just stick to going with the flow and see what happens.”

Jennifer’s Two Pennies worth

She believes strongly in being independent and also says, “Believe in what you want to do, and don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise. If you think you can, then you definitely can. If you focus and believe, there is nothing that can stop you.”
