A new Indian alternate rock group has been doing the rounds of Indian cities the past few weeks. Spud in the Box is a six piece Alternative Pop-Rock band formed in March 2011 in Mumbai.

It involves the musical energies of Vivaan Kapoor on drums, Zubin Bhathena on bass,

Rohan Rajadhakshya on vocals and keyboards, Ankit Dayal on vocals and guitar, and Hartej Sawhney and Siddharth Talwar on guitars.

Young Parsi boy Zubin Bhathena is the group’s bassist. Zubin’s been playing with the group as one of its founding members. While he is not plucking away at the strings of a guitar, he tinkers in robotics and wants to be a prototypist in the future.
