**Fareez Vasania Clinches Historic Treble Gold at **Fareez Vasania Clinches Historic Treble Gold at World Masters Games 2025**

*Taipei, May 2025* – In a landmark achievement that has reverberated across the global Masters athletics community, Mr. Fareez Vasania has secured his third gold medal at the World Masters Games 2025, completing a rare and historic treble in the 60+ category. His victory in the Triple Jump follows earlier wins in the High Jump and Long Jump, cementing his legacy as one of the most accomplished senior athletes in the world.

Hailing from Mumbai’s Dadar Parsi Colony, Mr. Vasania’s triple-gold performance is being celebrated as a pinnacle of athletic excellence and personal perseverance. Having previously won silver in Sydney (2009) and bronze in New Zealand (2017) in the Triple Jump, his 2025 win in Taipei is not just a career milestone—it’s the culmination of a long-held dream and a full-circle moment years in the making.

“Standing on the podium for the triple jump today was incredibly emotional,” Mr. Vasania reflected. “To finally win this gold after so many years, and alongside my wins in high and long jump, is something I’ll cherish forever.”

The World Masters Games—often dubbed the “Olympics for seniors”—welcomes thousands of veteran athletes from around the globe. Mr. Vasania’s unprecedented triple victory has emerged as one of the defining moments of the 2025 edition, inspiring athletes of all ages and backgrounds.

His journey began earlier this week with a commanding gold-medal performance in the High Jump, followed by an emphatic win in the Long Jump. With each event, he showcased not only extraordinary technical skill but also the discipline and resilience that have defined his decades-long sporting career.

“This has been a dream week,” Vasania said after his Long Jump win. “To win one gold was incredible. To win two—at this stage of my career—is beyond words. And now, three—it’s truly a gift.”

Back home in India, celebrations have erupted in honor of his achievements. Community members, sports federations, and fellow athletes have lauded Vasania as a national hero and a beacon of inspiration.

Kenya has lost one of its brightest legal minds, a resolute defender of justice, and a deeply principled voice in matters of national conscience. Senior Counsel Pheroze Nowrojee passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 84. His death marks the end of a monumental chapter in Kenya’s legal, human rights, and democratic history. But even in passing, his legacy will remain woven into the very fabric of the nation he so diligently served.

Born in 1941, Pheroze Nowrojee hailed from a family steeped in Kenya’s early history. His grandfather, arrived in East Africa in April 1896 as an engine driver for the Uganda Railway, an experience Nowrojee once eloquently described as a turning point for his family in his moving memoir A Kenyan Journey (2015). That book, both poetic and political, not only traces his family’s trajectory but also acts as a personal reflection on colonialism, migration, and the formation of Kenya as a modern nation.

FD Alpaiwalla Museum at Khareghat Colony, Hughes Road, the only centre in Mumbai that showcases Parsi-Zoroastrian history, was reopened on Thursday evening after extensive restoration and upgradation. It is an archaeological and ethnographic museum and its “collection reflects the rich heritage of the Parsis of India and the Iranian Zoroastrians of Iran”.

Not many know that Dadabhoy Naoroji’s reading glasses and other artefacts were stolen from the museum in 1998. They were never found.
